Is it Wednesday already?

I am so glad this week is flying by but i must remember to blog. Not much has been happening. Sexy came over for dinner last night. I made stir-fry and veggie egg rolls. This was my first experience of making egg rolls and i have to say they turned out well. I am glad sexy got here when she did to help me roll them or we may have had a disaster. They turned out great! I thought they were better than ones you get in a restaurant. Definitely something i will make again. Then after dinner we got caught up on the L-word. We had 3 episodes we needed to watch. We finished just in time to have a little friskiness before bedtime. Today after work i did some knitting. Now that I am done with sexy's sister's gift I started on my dad's bday gift. i am making him a scarf. I think I have a very nice design and i am about 1/4 done. It is a much harder design than i have done so far. I will have to take a pic when I am done. After this i think i will move on to knitting other things. I would love to learn how to knit a sweater, then maybe socks. Well, i am off to finish my book.

What a week!

I definitely have no reason to complain about people not commenting on my blog when i don't blog for a whole week. Well, life has been crazy but that is no excuse. We will just highlight the week. Monday I was off from work and my sister was here so we took my son to Navy Pier so he could go to Build A Bear. He got a gift card for his birthday. He made the cutest puppy and got him a superman outfit. He named him "Louie". The rest of the work week was crazy and bad as usual.

Now we are up to the weekend. And what a great weekend it was. Jr. went to his dads so i moved in to sexy's for the weekend. Friday night i picked up sexy to go to a friends bday party. It was fun and he had a great apartment. Very nicely decorated. Saturday, we slept in. We got up late and then just lounged around in bed. We read books, knitted, crocheted, talked. It was so charming and it is definitely something i could get use too. We finally got out of bed and made soup for dinner then it was off to Lane Bryant to get my shirt for the ball and then off to square dancing. I have to say i use to think LB was so expensive but i am starting to become a fan. I got 4 nice shirts and 2 pairs of sexy underwear all for $65. The clothes can be expensive but i think good quality and they usually have good deals. Square dancing was intense this week. We had a different caller and some confusing calls. I did catch on but this was the first class i really had to closely pay attention. After square dancing it was back to sexy's to eat our soup and get ready for the gay ball. It was a 1920's theme and we had a great time getting into costume. i will post some pics soon. The ball was great. It was so nice to see other women in all their costumes having a great time. Sexy and I danced and had a great time.

Busy Weekend!

It is time to catch all of you up on the weekend. My parents and two of my sisters came to chicagoland this weekend. Friday night Sexy, Jr. and I met them for dinner. i was nervous about this....as it was the first time my parents were meeting sexy. Despite sexy being super tired from her crazy week she met the parents and it went well. My son stayed at the motel with my parents so i spent the night at sexy's. By the time we got back to her place we were both very tired so we went right to bed. After waking up late and getting in some friskiness saturday morning, we left to go pick up the cake and some of jr's friends to take to chuck e cheese. This was nightmare. It took way to long. We finally got there an hour late but i think it turned out good. Everyone seemed to have a good time and my son loved all of his gifts. After the party it was off to square dancing. Our caller worked us hard this week. We learned some new calls and danced a lot of tips. It was a good time. My sister Rachel came to watch and she thought is was strange. Then we started to plan our evening out. We decided we would go to Big Chicks to dance and have a good time. So after square dancing i dropped off Sexy so she could get some work done and my sister and i went to dinner. We then went back and i helped sexy with some of her work and then my sister and i ran out to the suburbs to get her stuff while sexy took a nap. Finally around 11, we were all looking pretty sexy and ready to go dance with the boys and Big Chicks. It turned out to be a great time. We had fun dancing and the music was good. Sexy was looking really sexy too. I was so happy when she said she was coming back to my place to spend the night. I will spare you the details but definitely HOT! Unfortunately, i had to meet my parents at 8am this morning for breakfast.....i didn't get to bed till 4. So, today has been a rough day. Took a little nap but this cold/bronchitis is driving me crazy and i feel like crap. Time to watch the L-word.

Time to get caught up!

Let's back up to the weekend. Worked at the flowershop on Saturday and then went to square dancing. A bit more interesting this week and we learned a lot of new calls. After that met sexy at the v-day square dance. Was nice to see her dance. I then spent the rest of the weekend with sexy. It was very nice to spend sometime together amoungst all of the busy ness of the holiday. I gave Sexy the hooded scarf i knitt her. I am so happy i can talk about it now. I am sure you were all wondering what i was knitting but i couldn't tell. I think it turned out nice and i think she really likes it. Now, i am trying out purse patterns. Going to try my luck at knitting a purse for someone now. Sexy gave me the sweetest valentine card. she made it herself. It is so special and makes me feel very loved. I am so lucky to have such a great girlfriend. it is so nice to feel loved.

Monday i had the day off so i worked at the flowershop. Processed a lot of flowers. Had a good time. Monday was also Jr's bday. he turned 6. When i called him to wish him happy birthday i asked him if he felt older. He was so cute. He said he felt a whole year older. He was so excited. We will be having a bday party for him Saturday as my family will be coming to the city. Tuesday i went back to work and it was the worst day ever. I got so mad at my boss i almost walked out. It takes a lot to get me to that point.....but she did. I am still so pissed about it....and just mentioning it now is getting me ticked so i will stop. After work i went to the flower shop to drop off bagels for sexy and got put to work. I was of course happy i could help. Got home late. Yesterday was v-day and I already talked about this. So we are up to today.
Went to the doctor this morning. I have bronchitis and the doctor gave me 3 different medicines. I hope they work. I hope i can sleep tonight. I am so tired. I have not got a good nights sleep since last week sometime. I spend all night coughing. Tomorrow is friday........thank god! Sexy, I and Jr. will be having dinner with my family tomorrow night. I am glad they finally get to meet her but of course a little nervous at the same time. I know it will be fine.
Got to go take my drugs and go to bed.

V-Day

I know i am so far behind on posting. I have been so super busy since Saturday. I have been working 2 jobs and yes the blizzard didn't help either. I am so tired i know this will be short and sweet. Today was Valentines Day and after work I went to the flower shop to see if i could help out and they desperately needed me. So, sexy and I delivered flowers in the loop for over an hour. I was glad to help out and it was nice to actually see sexy on V-day. It has been nice to see her at work. I enjoyed doing something different for a few days too. Well, i am sick and going to the doctor in the morning and i really can't even think right now so i will have to post more later.

So Much Food!

Last night was my birthday party. About 8 people rsvp'd but only 3 showed and one was sexy, but it was a good time and one can't complain. Two of my favorite co-workers came and it was a lot of work chat....which seemed to bore sexy some but she was great and chimed in when she could. So, since so few showed up i have tons of food and alcohol left. I might have to have another party soon just to get rid of all my alcohol. So, the party ended around midnight then it was off to bed because both Caitlin and I were working at the flower shop today. I know nothing about flowers but it was nice to do something different for a change and i love flowers. THen it was off to square dancing. It was a little better this week. We learned a lot of new calls but i was so sleepy and i kept coughing from this horrible cold. I seem to be getting square dancing and it is fun. Speaking of square dancing i need to wrap this up because i am suppose to be meeting Caitlin and her square dance which is going on now. Spending the weekend at sexy's so i probably won't blog much. Till then.

Wonderful Birthday!

It is late but i wanted to write before i went to bed because i will not have time tomorrow. I had such a wonderful birthday today. It started out great when sexy called me this morning and sang me happy birthday. Nobody sings to me anymore on my birthday so i loved it. I got messages from Connie and my sister Amanda wishing me happy birthday. Even people at my job wished me happy birthday. I got my car back after school and then i went downtown to pick up sexy. This is when my birthday started to get really good. She took me to this great bar/restaurant. We had wonderful food and i had this blue martini which was great. It was such a nice place. Very classy and fun.....nice atmosphere and good food and drinks. Then it was off to the Art Institute. I have never been there and i loved it. We were only there for about 30mins. but we looked at a lot. I was so happy she took me there. I can't wait to go back again sometime. Then it was back to her place where i opened up my birthday gifts. Great gifts.....now i have 3 new SEXY bras to wear with all of my SEXY shirts. Black, pink and purple. And the black one has so many ways you can were it. It is great. Now i have a sexy black bra to wear next week to the black bra party. After modeling all my bras it was on to making sure sexy stayed warm. Or as we like to say....it was time to get frisky. And we did.


I hope that all of my birthdays will be as wonderful as this one was. Thanks sexy for a wonderful evening and thanks connie and amanda for your calls. Don't forget tomorrow is the party. I can't wait.

Party Time!

As of right now the party is still on. I spent sometime tonight planning and cleaning. I am feeling much better about having the party. Although i still do not know who is even coming. Right now i want to forget about all the shit going on in my life because tomorrow is my birthday and i am getting excited. My birthdays for most of my adult life have been horrible and i am hoping this one is good. Sexy has planned the evening tomorrow and then my party Friday. It should be fun. So, things are starting to look up. gotta run.

What the HELL?

Why is it that when things seem to be looking up....everything comes crashing down. I finally got my car back yesterday and was returning the rental this morning. Going back to work and telling my boss off. Well, instead i am home. No, it is not my son he is fine and at school.

Here's the story.
I dropped the rental off this morning and they took me to my car. Good...except the guy drove away and my car wouldn't start. I then had to sit in my car for 30mins. while waiting for the shop to open. I don't think I had feeling anywhere in my body. Remember it is 0 degrees here in Chicago. I really just wanted to cry....but then i would have had frozen tear drops on my face. Finally the shop opened and they jump my car and took a look at it. Something is wrong....it won't keep a charge. They looked at the battery, the cables, all they could think of and still won't keep a charge. Finally around 11 i told work i was not going to be in at all and asked the shop to give me a ride home. I am finally just starting to thaw out. Now maybe i will cry. I hope they figure out what is wrong and soon. I am thinking about cancelling my party on Friday. This week was already going to be super busy and i didn't even account for the kid getting sick and all of this crazy car stuff. i have missed 3 days of work and i have a crazy amount of work there to do. Tomorrow is my birthday and i was really looking forward to it but i am not sure now. Sexy is super busy and stressed and i feel like i should just give her space. I don't need to cause more stress in my life with my relationship so i guess i should just back off. Write more later.

IS THAT MY CAR?

First of all i have to give a big thanks to my best friend Connie. She is such a great friend and called me yesterday and this morning to see how I was doing. It is so nice to be loved from across the country. It really helped to get my day started out well when she called me this morning. And i would say today turned out to be a bit of success. I managed to get my car back finally. For those who don't know i was in an accident back in October......and yes i just got my car back today. I now have to drop the rental off in the morning and then it will finally be done. I am so happy to not have to pay any more money for a rental. Maybe now i can finally start to get caught up. The kid is feeling better and will be going back to school tomorrow. I didn't get anything done around the house but i have tomorrow. Thursday is my birthday and sexy has planned the evening. I am so excited to actually be spending my birthday with someone who loves me and treats me nice. I am sure it is going to be wonderful. Got to get the kid in bed and take a shower.

I could get use to this.

It is after 1pm and i am now just getting up and around. I was up several times last night checking on the kid and just having trouble sleeping from the stressful day. But the kid is doing better and now i am up and i have a lot to do. I feel like i got enough sleep and it was so nice to not have to get up at 6:30 this morning and go to work. It is nice to have a day off once in a while. Time to get busy...got to clean and move boxes to storage before my party on Friday. Will chat later.

Sick Kid

Sexy spent the night last night and finally we were able to get frisky. Always a fun time. 6:30am came awful early this morning but i felt well rested. So, it was off to dropping my son off at school and then sexy off at work.....and then by the time i got to work....i was late. This is the only thing i hate about monday mornings. I can't seem to get to work on time. Work was going good and then i got a call that my son was sick and i needed to get him right away. Sounded important right....yeah but my boss decided to give me 20mins more work to do before she would let me leave. By the time i got to my son's school he had a temp. of 104. I am so pissed at my boss and i am going to let her know about it when i return to work Wednesday. It is one thing to fuck with me but don't fuck with my kid and she did. So, i got my son home and started giving him medicine to get his fever down. He is doing better but still about 102. I am staying home with him tomorrow so we will see how he does. I am off to bed because i am sure i will be up several times tonight checking on my son.

Recycling, square dancing, dinner

Today did not start out the greatest. I don't appreciate being woken up at 5 am by my son asking if he can watch tv. He knows he is not allowed to watch tv before the sun comes up. Did anyone see the sun up at 5am? I certainly did not! So after he whined for a few minutes and talked to himself he realized i was ignoring him and not going to change my mind so he went back to sleep. and so did i.....for a couple of hours anyway. Then sometime shortly after the sun came up.....he needed my help. Then i asked him to bother mommy only in case of emergency......boy is he confused about what an emergency is. I gave up and finally just got up and around and started packing up the car with all of my ex's shit that is still at my place and some computer parts and printers that i was going to recycle. Picked up the girlfriend and headed to the electronic recycling place. It was so quick and easy. We drove up....they met us at the car......they unloaded it all and thanked us. it took like a minute and we did not even have to get out of the car. Recycling is something we all should do.....and with this little effort there should not be any excuses for not doing it.

Then it was drop the kid off which took to long so we had to cancel the friskiness. Damn, now i have to wait till tomorrow night! We went to target instead. I wanted a black bra, underwear and a Bears shirt.....target had none of these for me, but sexy got some cool cargo pants and a very sexy black bra. The best part of shopping with the girlfriend is definitely going back to the dressing room and watching her try on clothes. SEXY! Then it was off to square dancing which was a bit boring tonight. The people are fun and i always have a good time....but dancing was boring and we didn't learn a lot of new moves. then i took sexy out for dinner. We went to this cozy coffee shop cafe sort of place. We actually sat on pillows in the corner of the room. It was very nice to cuddle with the girlfriend in public. the coffee and the food was excellent. So, that was my day. Off to knit a little and then off to bed. I have a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow and then the Super Bowl and then sexy will be coming over for our usual Sunday night festivities.

Groundhog's Day!

i just started blogging and i am already falling behind. I can definitely see how it happens now. Today was one of those good days turned frustrating and then ended good. So, i had a good day at work.....which rarely happens, and then i was all excited to finally be getting my car back.....which didn't happen. But on a good note i was then able to make it to sexy's party early so i got to help her make the food and make out a little while it was cooking. She had a groundhog's day party. It was fun and i got to meet more of her friends.....which i plan on stealing away from her. She has such nice friends and i can always use some more friends. we had good food, wine and then watched Groundhog's Day....ok movie but very repetitive. It was nice to snuggle up on the couch between sexy and one of her friends. I was nice and cozy warm. The party was a success. Now i am home and quickly getting tired.....so off to bed for me. Got plans with sexy tomorrow to go to some recycling centers and then to square dancing (with maybe some friskiness inbetween) so i must get some sleep.
